What's the best scheduling software for a small team?
It depends on where your pain is. If you run a restaurant and want POS-driven forecasting, 7shifts is built for that. If you want payroll in the same account, look at Homebase. If you want scheduling, coverage, time clock, requests, and team chat in one app your staff will actually open, that's what Knit is built for.
Does Knit work on Android, iPhone, and desktop?
Yes. Knit runs on Android, iOS, and desktop from the same codebase, so the schedule, requests, and chat look and behave the same on every device.
How does location-verified clock-in work?
When a member clocks in, Knit can capture their location once to confirm they're on site. Owners can turn the requirement on or off for the whole group.
Can I control what managers and staff can see?
Yes. Every group starts with Owner, Manager, and Member roles, and you can create your own roles with their own permissions, such as who can build schedules, approve requests, or view reports.
How do I get my team into Knit?
Create a group, then invite people by email or share your group's join code. They download the app, sign up, and land in your group with the role you gave them.
Run your whole shift team from one app.
Schedules, coverage, clock-ins, and requests, on every device your team already uses.
